IF A TRIP to Munich for the Oktoberfest is off the cards, beer enthusiasts and anyone else desiring a knees up with friends or colleagues, can opt for the Best of British Beer festival, being held by Vinopolis on October 24 and 25, writes Madeleine Lindh...

Vinopolis is planning to transform the soaring Victorian arches of its Great Halls into a beer keller offering twelve different Fuller's Beers and traditional British grub such as Bangers and Mash.

Entertainment for the evening will include Jazz band Sejuice who have performed for the likes of Tony Blair, Thandie Newton and David Hasselhoff, as well as in top venues including the Royal Albert Hall.

Tickets are priced at £37.50 and include a complementary tasting of 12 Fuller's beers, two free bottles of beer, a hearty British meal, a free tasting glass, ice cream from Ice Queens and the chance to purchase more bottles of Fullers beer.
