POLICE ASSAULT?

A 36-year-old from Kent denies an assault on a female police officer during a row in Camberwell Road back in March and will return for trial next month.

Rodney Lynch, of Breakspears Drive, Orpington, admits being in the area on March 11 with a friend but bluntly denies the assault on the WPC. Lynch - who will call one defence witness - will return to Tower Bridge Magistrates’ Court on June 19 for his trial.
