MISSING SOMERSET GIRLS SEEN IN LONDON

9 May 2011 Police are appealing for help locating two girls who have gone missing
from Somerset.

Ellie Hill, aged 13, and Megan Wintle, aged 16, went missing from their
homes in Taunton, Somerset on Sunday April 24, 2011. They were visiting
Weston-super-Mare when they ran off from carers and since then enquiries
have been ongoing to find them.

Detectives have established that they have visited the London area and
have spoken to people known to have seen them during that time. However,
nearly two weeks since they went missing police are becoming
increasingly concerned for their welfare.

Ellie Hill is described as a white girl, 5'6" tall, with a medium build
and shoulder length brown hair. She has blue eyes, wears braces on her
teeth and has scratches on her left arm.

Megan is described as a white girl, 5'5" tall, slim build with
shoulder-length brown hair. She has brown eyes and a pieced lip and
tongue.

Detective Inspector Ian Glover said: "Since Ellie and Megan went missing
we have been following up several lines of enquiry to find them. I am
now appealing for help from the public and would like to hear from
anyone who knows where the girls are or where they have been since they
went missing.

"We know they have been in the London area so I would particularly
appeal to people in the city, and their home town of Taunton, to be
vigilant and report any sightings of the girls."
