WE'RE BEING ASKED TO USE SLOP BUCKETS

6 July 2011

I have written previously criticising overbearing councils’ bin collection policies, but now we are being forced to use slop buckets similar to inmates in Her Majesty’s prisons.

Tory Environment Secretary Caroline Spellman has decreed that every household in England must use a slop bucket for their kitchen waste.

And to think in opposition she was against this most unhygienic waste practice because of smells. How long before we will be charged, like garden waste, as the council jumps on the idea of squeezing more cash from its suffering taxpayers?
