I heard on the radio that there should have been more 'robust policing' to stop the rioters looting and burning the city, yet we all know that the police have their hands tied.
You hear that the police and government are 'not in touch with today's youth'. Who is?
Where, I want to know, were the community elders in all this? They know they are ineffectual and have no influence over these young wannabe gangsters, and these past few days have proved that.
Where were the parents? Either out there robbing with their offspring or at home praying to some god for help as they have no control over their own children.
The police were overrun by numbers and the lack of being able to get stuck to end this now.
Bring in the army; bring out the water cannons; load up the rubber bullets, bring out a 'shoot to kill looters and arsonists' policy and see how many people put their hands together with joy.

What 'community'? There are no communities, they were sold off via the slickest estate agent years ago.
'Communities' don't create a generation which then burns down the High Street.
And the police were simply outnumbered, their hands were not tied.
