You are here: Southwark \ Sport \ The Shadow \ MON PARRAIN TO WIN AGAIN
11 November 2011
The racing this week is dominated by the Breeders Cup meeting a Churchill Downs in Kentucky but I must confess that I find the whole thing totally over the top. It is just a great big festival of money which in my opinion comes at the wrong end of the season by about two months.
This is the time of the year when racing looks to next spring with the climax of National Hunt racing at the Cheltenham Festival and the excitement of the start of the flat. I am sorry but I just cannot get worked up about St Nicholas Abbey winning the Breeders’ Cup Turf the first week in November.
