'FAMILY HOMES AT RISK AFTER BENEFITS CHARGE'

Hundreds of families with children could be at risk of losing their home thanks to changes to benefits,  a council committee has warned.

Children, the vulnerable and the disabled will be hardest hit by welfare reform which was brought into effect by the government in April, members of Southwark’s Housing and Community Safety Scrutiny Sub Committee argue.
