MAN BEHIND THE SHARD UNVEILS PLANS FOR NEW ROTHERHITHE TOWN CENTRE

Developers of the 1,012 feet-tall Shard have unveiled a first glimpse of their designs for up to 1,000 new homes at Surrey Quays.

A tall building and a number of shops and offices are proposed for the huge swathe of land as the firm aims to establish a new town centre.
