FATHER FAILED TO PROVIDE SPECIMEN

15 June 2012

A father of one who told cops he was incontinent after he was stopped in Coldharbour Lane because of his driving was banned for one year.

Edison Charles of Clapham Park Estate, pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen for analysis at Peckham station on May 27.

He said: “Because I was really nervous I didn’t try hard.  “I didn’t refuse to blow into it but I was extremely nervous.”
Charles chose to represent himself in court despite the head magistrate suggesting he speak to a solicitor.

He claimed to have drunk two pints of Guinness at 10pm before getting behind the wheel at 2am and was fined £450.
