EXCLUSIVE
A new million pound “centre of excellence” for pensioners with dementia is set be created by the council, despite the closure of a site which looked after residents with the same needs last year. Two other centres are also to close.
A consultation is being launched today about the proposal which will provide a sensory room to help with communication skills, health clinics, and also offer support to carers.
