COUNCIL BOSSES say they are rethinking plans to demolish Walworth’s last remaining row of Victorian shops after a “dawn to dusk” demonstration by local residents.

Council leader Peter John and finance chief Richard Livingstone both visited the historic terrace in Manor Place on Friday to hear impassioned speeches from local residents appealing for the heritage of the area to be preserved.
