THE RECENT spell of heavy rain has helped the Den’s lush new fibre-sand surface, according to head groundsman Dave Bradbury-Shaw.

The club’s £200,000 investment on the pitch is their biggest spend on the surface since moving to the Den almost 20 years ago.
