12 July 2012
A Rotherhithe girl who was caught with a sharpened screw driver that she used to clean her crack pipe appeared before magistrates.
Emma Jones, 22, was in the Rockingham Estate in Walworth when police searched her in the street and found the tool. They also found a quantity of Subutex, a Class C drug used to treat heroin addiction, during the search on April 27.
Jones pleaded guilty to possession of a knife or pointed article in a public place and possession of the Class C drug. The magistrates asked for a pre-sentence report to be completed and the case was adjourned. Jones, of Byfield Close in Rotherhithe, was granted bail until the report was ready.
