20 July 2012
A Camberwell teenager who allegedly tossed a lock knife into the street when police tried to stop him on his bike appeared in court to deny two charges.
Byron Antoine entered pleas of not guilty to possession of a knife in a public place and to failing to stop a pedal cycle when directed by a constable.
The charges follow an alleged incident when police said they saw him without a front light on June 26 in Peckham.
Nineteen-year-old Antoine, of Camberwell New Road, elected for a trial at a magistrates’ court, which will take place on September 11 at Tower Bridge.
