You are here: Southwark \ Sport \ MILLWALL 0-2 BLACKPOOL
19 August 2012
A goal in each half by Blackpool's Thomas Ince ensured a losing start to the season for Millwall at the Den.
Millwall dominated the first half an hour and Andy Keogh should have opened the scoring, but could only fire his shot straight at Matt Gilks after Liam Trotter had picked Keogh out.
That proved a turning point as Ince exchanged a neat one-two with Tiago Gomes before guiding a low shot into the bottom corner.
Keogh missed another chance in the second half, failing to make contact with James Henry's cross at the far post before Ince added a second.
Latching onto Gary Taylor-Fletcher's ball over the Millwall defence, Ince held off Shane Lowry to finish well into the top corner.
