Burnley 2-2 Millwall

29 September 2012

A DRAMATIC last minute equaliser rescued a point for Millwall against Burnley at Turf Moor.

The Lions got off to a dream start when Liam Trotter put them ahead from the edge of the box after just 3 minutes.

However, a dominant first half performance by Burnley was rightly rewarded with an equaliser from a corner as Ben Hee powered home a header from a couple of yards out.

The home side then took the lead on 43rd minute through another header this time Charlie Austin meeting a deep cross.

In the second half an extremely late offside decision saved Millwall from going further behind, Stanislas’s goal was belatedly ruled out as Martin Paterson was coming back from an offside position.

Substitute Jordan Henderson then scored in injury time to make it 2-2 before hitting the even further into injury time as Millwall came so close to taking all three points.
