You are here: Peckham \ Kids \ SCHOOL HOLIDAY FUN!
2 August 2007
The school holidays have arrived. Here are a few examples of the things you can get up to in Southwark over the summer:
Every Sunday in August kids can design their own beach kit at the Design Museum’s Beach Life events.
On Wednesdays Carnival Crazy allows young people to make their own carnival costumes. And between August 6 and 10 check out the museum’s animation summer school. Visit www.designmuseum.org
Every day throughout the summer take a spooky trail on the Old Operating Theatre’s Ghost Train to see Frankenstein’s monster brain and mix your own witch potion.
Come and visit the Start team at Tate Modern, who will help you choose a game to play in the galleries. Challenging but fun, the activities are for adults and children to do together.
The whole family could stay the night aboard the Golden Hinde ship as part of their family sleepover.
HMS Belfast’s summer fun play schemes will be running until August 31.
Take in a great number adventure at the Livesey Museum for Children. This interactive exhibition for children up to 12 years old takes a colourful and unusual look at each number from one to 12. Until August 2007.
