WAYNE BURNETT'S VIEW

This was a great way to bounce back from our poor bank holiday results as I felt we thoroughly deserved to win on Saturday and to be honest we could have had three or four.

I think the good form weve showed at the start of the season is really down to two things, all the boys working just incredibly incredibly hard and the fact there is a real belief beginning to be felt around the football club that we can win a lot of football matches.

You can tell both in training and when theyre on the pitch that everyone is working incredibly hard for each other and, despite the fact that they all came together only a few months ago, there is a real sense that were starting to bond as a team and creating a true sense of togetherness.

Part of this I think is because the training we use is competitive but fun. For instance we have a yellow jersey, which is given to the nightmare player of the week. No one wants to wear it, but whoever gets has to have it all week!

Weve got some very very talent players at this football club and I genuinely think now if we lose it wont be for lack of talent or for lack of trying.

I seem to have said this at every club Ive been at as a manager, but I dont think it will too long now before some League clubs are identifying our players again.

When I was at Dulwich Hamlet last year I oversaw Chris Dicksons move to Charlton Athletic and I can quite easily see one or two of the current crop of players here playing at the same level.

As Chris showed last season, what good strikers do is miss a chance, forget about it and then score. The eradicate the mistake from their minds before rectifying it. Chris did that last season and Jeff Goulding is the same this year.
He might miss or two chances, but hell still score one or two.
