The long-awaited opening of the ESPH health centre on Lordship Lane has finally arrived, writes David Yuill...
The centre has a focus on rehabilitation sessions, as well as offering an expansive upstairs gym.
But for a whopping £79-a-month what are customers getting for their money?
“We provide you with a ninety minute MOT that evaluates your overall health and fitness, from the top of your head to the pit of your toe, as soon as you join,” begins Director Max Sharpe, “and once we know where you are physically, we provide one-on-one supervision and advise as standard, rather than charging £30 an hour for such treatment.”
The centre is designed for all-comers, young or old, fit or not, continues Sharpe: “I am not exaggerating, we have a thirteen year-old lad doing family Pilates in a similar class to an 80-year old gran who has joined this week. ESPH offers classes and expertise to everyone, whether you are going for an Iron Man challenge or are an old chap with sore feet.”
