THE PAGES of the 'News' have often been covered with misdeeds of youngsters around the borough.
In fact it is an issue which has dominated national news for some time. Of course, the youths that commit crimes are in the minority, but their deeds have an impact and seem to be on the rise.
So the question is, what do we do to stem this? They are young people and children after all.
Peckham-based From Boyhood to Manhood have a good idea by placing a life size prison cell out in public for all to see.
Crimes are often committed in the heat of the moment. So if someone has a first hand idea of what may happen if they are banged up, it might make them think twice. The thought of being locked up eighteen hours a day in a ten by eight foot room for a couple of years may just hit home that if you can't do the time, don't commit the crime.
