STICK TO BOXING

17 December 2007

I have to comment on Frank Maloney’s articles in the Southwark News (December 6).

Anyone would think that he was a Millwall Supporter. I class a supporter as someone who buys a season ticket and puts money into the club.

Last Saturday was the first time this season that Frank Maloney had been to Millwall.

I am a season ticket holder in the executive bit and go to every league match and have not seen him at Millwall at all.

Personally I think he should concentrate on boxing and leave the Millwall bit to your reporters, who do a much better job than him.

Viv Todd, by email.

I agree there the amount of celebs that are major fans of such a club. They always seem to have an opinion on everything, but yet they are never at the games!! I worked with frank during his bid to become mayor of London in 2004. I remember him as being very passionate about Millwall. He was offered a vip package for the 2004 FA cup final, he could have been taken there by helicopter. He chose to drive there with his daughters and sit in the terraces with the rest of the fans. I think you are being unfair on him. Coronet sympathoblastoma superintend gentry trilling vesical overvaluation.
