The University of Greenwich - A space for you
Who are we?
We're a university with a thriving community of around 25,000 students.
We have three campuses, in Greenwich and Eltham in London and Medway in Kent. We also have a network of partner colleges throughout the South East. We would like you to join us.
What can we offer?
Variety. Our ten Schools cover a wide spectrum of disciplines, from Science to Architecture and Computing to Business.
We offer different levels of award, including HNDs, foundation degrees and honours degrees, enabling you to study for the qualification that suits you. Over a quarter of our students take higher awards such as MPhils and PhDs, so, if you already have a degree, why not work towards getting "Doctor" in front of your name?
Opportunities
Each year, thousands of our graduates head out into the world of work to start careers in teaching, social work, business, graphic design, engineering and science.
We have helped people to become architects, accountants, marketing managers, PR professionals and events organisers. Many nurses and other health-care professionals are better trained thanks to us. The opportunities are almost endless - so what do you want to be?
Security
This is what an improved wage can bring.
According to Graduate Prospects magazine, over 60 per cent of graduates start work on more than £22,500 a year. As a graduate, you will probably earn at least £200,000 more in your lifetime than your non-graduate friends. Education is an investment in your future.
Flexibility
We understand that students come from a variety of backgrounds and have a variety of needs.
Have you, for instance, put your career and education plans on hold because of family or other commitments? Our part-time programmes could help you fit study into your busy life. A great place to work. To get the most out of study, you need the best facilities. Wherever you learn - laboratory, lecture theatre, workshop, library or studio - we've ensured that your surroundings, and the tools you work with, are state-of-the-art. Our three libraries, for instance, provide both traditional printed materials and a range of e-books and electronic journals which are accessed via the Internet. Many of our students enjoy the flexibility of being able to log on from home.
A great place to relax
You'll want some time away from the books. We've catered for this too, with a range of on-campus restaurants, bars, clubs and societies to keep you entertained.
If you are interested in sports and exercise, we have gyms, sports halls and other facilities, and many of our sports teams compete in student leagues. There's even an annual boat race! However you choose to relax, you'll have the opportunity to meet new people and cultivate friendships that will hopefully last a lifetime.
