14 March 2008
Two more local fighters failed to make waves in the world of Mixed Martial Arts after both lost on Saturday night’s high profile Cage Rage bill at Wembley Arena.
Jake Bostwick extended his losing streak to five after his bout with John Phillips was stopped due to strikes from his opponent after four minutes ten seconds of round one. His overall record is now three wins and five defeats.
Marvin Arnold Bleau – one of Bostwick’s former victims – also had his fight stopped by the referee, losing to opponent John Hathaway after just one minute 32 seconds of round one. His record now stands at two wins and four defeats.
The next Cage Rage event – Cage Rage Contenders: 9 – will take place at the Troxy in Limehouse on Saturday April 12 – and will feature Walworth’s ‘Punching Preacher’ Jason Barrett, seeking to revenge a defeat last time out by overcoming his mohawked foe Joe Mac.
Bostwick – himself the possessor of a fine Mohican – will also be back in action on the bill, taking on Jack Mason.
