A film maker is looking to capture the memories and stories of the Heygate Estate, before the people who have lived there for decades are moved to other areas.
Enrica Colusso and her colleagues at Tigerlily Films have already been filming in and around the estate for months, including documenting council meetings and collecting information from residents.
In order to have as complete a record as possible, the company is asking any tenants to come forward with home movies, cine-film or photos of the estate, in order that the estate’s rich history can be documented. The company is also looking for people to take part in interviews.
Ms Colusso said: "We have had some people come forward to take part or contribute, but we are asking for anybody else, if they are still on the estate or if they have moved away, to come and contribute to the documentary."
"We want as many people to contribute as we can, and we want young people from any number of ethnic backgrounds to talk to us as well."
If you would like to take part, contact Joe on 0207 729 9845 or e-mail joe@tigerlilyfilms.com.
