Decor: Liberal European café married with modern Londoner’s love of anything that looks shiny and new. The open kitchen behind the tills will attract passing foodies as they leave Borough Market. Strategic placing of outside tables will make punters realise they have an alternative to the Starbucks that sits directly opposite.

Ambiance: Alternates depending on what your watch and diary say.
Summer mornings feature a ‘busy businessman up early’ atmosphere; lunchtimes have the polite mentality of a continental, widely varied sandwich shop; evenings are chatty and full of laid back diners, whilst weekends will feature couples and groups looking for a good breakfast and a place to sit down after hammering around Borough Market.

Drinks: Freedom Organic Ale (£2.80 a pint), Konig Ludwig (£3.80 a pint), Budvar, Corona, Asahi (£2.95 per bottle). Regular spirits and pitchers of Pimms, Sangria, Bay Breeze, Long Beach Iced Tea and Caribbean Punch from £11.95 - £14.95. Also offers selection of coffee cocktails from £4.50, a varied wine list and many soft drinks.

Food: Massive variety of pizzas, flatbreads and other Italian staples betray the fact that Amano is probably a restaurant and sandwich shop first and a bar second.
