The travelling faithful at the Batlle of Elland Road tonight must play their part in firing the Lions to Wembley for the Playoff final - insists the Player of the Season.

Die hard defender Andy Frampton admits that hearing the Lions' roar from the small corner of the ground will make the hairs on the back of his neck stand on end and is determined not to let 37,000 screaming Yorkshiremen drown out the Bermondsey boys.

"It is going to be tough for them with the amount of Leeds supporters that will be there," Framps told the ‘News’. "But just to see their support should be enough for the lads to put in a good account of ourselves and to stand up and be counted. "Just for their efforts to get up there in what will be an extremely exciting night for the club, we will roll our sleeves up and get the job done.

"All season long the away support, as well as at home, has been unbelievable. Seeing the numbers that get all over the country - from Carlisle to Hartlepool - is a real boost every time we run out; especially in these hard times."

The Croydon-raised full back is well aware that the atmosphere will be intense, but is confident that the dreams of Wembley and promotion to the Championship will be enough to block it all out.

He said: "The whole night from start to finish will be amazing. The noise will be unbelievable I would imagine. But we have to keep to our jobs and give a good account of ourselves in the heat of the battle. I'm confident that the young lads will cope with it. At first, the hairs on the back of the neck will stand up and the adrenaline will kick in. But we have a good mix of experience and I'm sure we will stand up to it.”

Frampton welcomes back club captain Paul Robinson to the ranks and believes he has been a big boost to the squad. "It's great to have him back," he said. "His experience and his leadership are vital. He is another big voice in the changing room and he has been itching to get back in the setup.

"It is something of a reward for what he has been through over the past months and hopefully we will push on again on Thursday, to give him something to cheer about at the end of the night."

Manager Kenny Jackett, who will have to get his tactics right to maintain the 1-0 lead, admitted that his side would have to be at their best to get through. He said: "We will have to play to our maximum at Leeds, we know that.
There hasn't been anything between the two sides all season. If you look at both the league games, we have won one, they have won one and Saturday was a very tight affair.

"But we are on top at the halfway stage ahead of a big, big challenge."
Record goal scorer Neil Harris is licking his lips ahead of the prospect, and believes the home fans could put off Yorkshire's third biggest club. He added: "There is a huge amount of pressure for the home side. If I was a player playing in front of that lot, I would think 'what an atmosphere', but then I'm thinking - 'if we don't win, they will turn on us in an instant'.

"The pressure is on them. We are in front and still don't feel the pressure of the game."
* Target man Gary Alexander is a major doubt to travel, after picking up a flu -type illness during the week.
