THE OLD School Yard is a place for those of us who are still young at heart. Named after the Cat Stevens song of almost the same name, the bar recreates that feeling you had as a child when it was home time after school. 

Just a couple of minutes walk down Long Lane from the Borough tube station, The Old School Yard is all about having fun and good quality drinks, write Oliver Pugh and Laura Daley...

THE DRINKS
This bar prides itself on its extensive range of twisted classic cocktails, which has just won them the title of 'Best Cocktail Menu in England'.  The five-shot Xtreme Martini should not be taken lightly. Prices range from just under £5 to £15 for a rum punch for friends to share.  Those who just fancy a beer have a selection of bottles to choose from at £3.30, bottle of house wine is £11.50 and premium vodka is also available.

THE FOOD
There is now a back garden with a BBQ. So if we are lucky enough to have some sunshine you can enjoy your cocktails outside. Don't worry, there is always bright sunshine and blue skies inside if it does rain! Food is also available on request for parties.

THE ROOM
The sun constantly shines at the Old School Yard and it's a game console player’s dream with Nintendo Wiis and N64s scattered around.

THE FEEL
The atmosphere is fun, individual and it is always home time with the clock set at 3.35. Parties can be organised for those who want to celebrate! The crowd ranges from 20-35 so the vibe is fun and vibrant. Open from 5.30pm every night until 11.30 on weekdays and 12.30 on Friday and Saturday.

The Regular - Lee Ottery
It's good to see a bit of action - some flare behind the bar. There's no other bar round here like it - it's a stand-alone bar.
