New to Bermondsey is a group that has gone down a storm in Blackheath, Lee, Chislehurst, Sidcup, Bexleyheath, Sevenoaks, Beckenham and Croydon - the Funky Chicks Academy, writes Kevin Quinn...

If you want to get fit and have a huge amount of fun doing it, then these chicks are right up your street.
Classes include street dance, funky, technique work and funky ballet. They welcome girls and boys of all levels between from three years upwards.

At the academy, as well as teaching children how to dance and perform to the best they can, the Chicks also encourage everyone to be imaginative, creative, to believe in themselves and to let their individuality shine through.

Pupils first to learn the choreography to the Funky Chicks tracks from their new album (www.funkychicks.co.uk).
And there are opportunities to be involved in exciting Funky Chicks projects and to perform alongside the Funky Chicks themselves.

Entering into competitions, performing in shows and featuring in the Funky Chicks music videos and photo shoots are just some of the exciting experiences that are on offer.
