ALLEGED ASSAULT ON SHOPKEEPER

A 24-year-old who is alleged to have assaulted a shopkeeper after he confronted him about being short changed elected for trial at a magistrates’ court.

Donovan Thompson, of Chinbrook Road, Grove Park, pleaded not guilty to common assault, criminal damage, and possessing a knife in Newington Causeway on May 26.

He will appear at Tower Bridge Magistrates’ Court on July 23 for a trial.
