PLANNING (LISTED BUILDINGS AND CONSERVATION AREAS) ACT 1990 (as amended)
The following planning applications, including the plans and other documents submitted with it, can be seen on the Council's website at http://planningonline.southwarksites.com/planningonline2/ or you can see them at our offices at Regeneration and neighbourhoods department, Council Offices, Chiltern, Portland Street, London SE17 2ES on weekdays between 9.00 am - 4.30 pm. If you come to our offices please make a note of the application reference number as it will help us to get the right documents for you to see. A duty planner is normally available between 9.00am and 4.30pm to answer general questions on the applications but may not be able to talk in detail about the application you want to see. If you want to talk in detail about an application please make an appointment to see the application case officer. Please telephone 020 7525 5403 to be put in contact with the case officer. You can also see more details about the applications on the register of planning applications area of the council's website at www.southwark.gov.uk.
If you wish to make comments on an application you should do this in writing, giving the address and reference number of the application, and send them to us at the above address. If you do not send your comments within the time limits shown below they may be received too late to be taken into consideration. You can also email comments to us at planning.applications@southwark.gov.uk. In reaching a decision on the application the council will consider and take into account relevant material planning considerations. These include the planning policies in the council's development plan (this can be viewed on the council's website at www.southwark.gov.uk or at our offices) and comments you make.
Please note that objections or comments based on personal grounds, such as the sex or race of the applicant or effects on the value of your property are not valid material planning considerations and will not be taken into account in deciding the application. Comments marked 'confidential' will not be considered in making the decision on the application.
Data protection. Please note that for your comments to be taken into consideration they will be available for inspection by the applicant and the general public at our offices and may be published on the internet on the register of planning applications area of the council's website. Your comments may include your name, signature, postal address, telephone number or email address but you do not have to give any of these details or other personal information. However, if you do not give your postal address we will not be able to give much weight or consideration to your comments, will not be able to assess the impact of the development on you or be able to contact you on any matters relating to the application, including letting you know the decision made. Please ensure therefore that you only provide information, including personal information belonging to you, that you are happy will be made available to others in this way. If you give information belonging to someone else please ensure that you have their permission to do so. Your comments may also be referred to in the report on the application when a decision is made. If the applicant appeals against the council's decision any comments you make will be forwarded to the applicant and the Secretary of State and may also be published on The Planning Inspectorate's website.
