What's your favourite place in Southwark?
I like the local shopping centre in Surrey Quays. It's got everything I need there and there are always people you know.

What do you like most about Southwark?
The borough's becoming a lot cleaner than it was.

Do you recycle?
Yes, I recycle all my wastepaper, plastic bottles and glass. I think it's important to reuse stuff as much as possible.

David Cameron met the Californian governor Arnold Scwarzenegger last week to discuss the issue of gangs. Is the situation in London as bad as things in LA?
It's getting that way. I think the gangs are getting worse. You hear about people having guns and knives pulled on them all the time and it seems like not enough's being done about it.

Is the Diana inquest a waste of money?
The issue should be laid to rest. If it is some sort of cover up, whoever's responsible will be powerful enough to keep the truth hidden now. I think it's just a waste of time.

Do you think the plight of the Burmese people will disappear off the international agenda now that it's left the front pages?
Yes, probably. Now that the issue's out of the public eye the politicians will know they can get away with not doing anything about it.

Should children be tested at such a young age?
No, I don't think they should. Making a kid sit an exam doesn't give you an idea of how well they'll be doing later on in secondary school, so I don't think the system is fair.

Do you think Gordon Brown's decision not to call a General Election is a sign of weakness?
I don't think he should have spent so long deciding. But now that there's not going to be one at least he can concentrate on running the country.

People are saying that Radiohead have sparked a music revolution by inviting fans to pay whatever they want to download their new album. Is this the future of music distribution?
I don't know what you're going on about.
