THE MAYOR of Southwark, in conjunction with the Southwark Chamber of Commerce, is proud to host the second Southwark Chamber Charity Classic Auction Golf Event, in support of the Mayor's nominated charity - Diabetes UK and Dulwich Helpline.

This year the Mayor's particular area of interest is diabetes. The Mayor has therefore chosen to support Diabetes UK to raise awareness and promote the importance of early diagnosis.

The Mayor wants to raise funds for a mobile diagnosis unit that can visit events and tour around, providing voluntary and free blood tests, to look for the early onset of diabetes.

Since 1993, Dulwich Helpline has provided friendly volunteer support for isolated older people in south Southwark, where over 170 volunteers support through a number of practical ways over 300 people every year.

The day will tee off at 1.00 with refreshments with a 1.30pm shotgun start, with twenty teams of four, then a lavish champagne reception at 6.30pm, followed by a three course dinner starting at 7.30pm and a grand finale of a top draw auction.

We invite you to spend the day with some of the movers and shakers in Southwark and the City. There are only 120 tickets available, and when they're gone, they're gone, so book now. Cost for the whole day is £120.00 per person, £220.00 per pair and £400 for a foursome.

For non golfers attending the dinner and auction the cost will be only £65.

There are a number of sponsorship opportunities including overall sponsorship of the event, sponsorship of holes, the official programme, nearest pin, longest drive and even a hole in one competition, where you could win a brand new car.
