MAN DENIES ATTEMPT TO BURGLE

A Nunhead man accused of trying to burgle a flat in Bermondsey was remanded in custody.

Jason Leech, 40, denies a charge of attempted burglary after an alleged incident on April 24. The flat referred to in the charge is off Bermondsey Street.

Leech, of Tappesfield Road, was remanded in custody and the case was due to be sent to the crown court this week.
