You are here: Southwark \ Opinion \ Oi, put that in your paper! \ MATT MORGAN
10 June 2009
What do you like best about Southwark?
My friends and family. And, generally, it's got a good vibe.
What is your favourite place in Southwark?
I like all the parks, especially Dulwich Park.
What would you like to change about the borough?
Some areas really need sprucing up. They tend to let down the nice parts.
How do you feel about children going on reality shows, such as Britain's Got Talent?
As long as it is the children wanting to go on, and not their parents pushing them, I think it is fine.
A recent survey has found that taxi drivers are the grumpiest workers in Britain, and secretaries are the happiest. Who do you think are the grumpiest and happiest workers?
The unhappiest are those working for London Transport. The happiest, recently, seem to be barmen.
Sting is arguing that music lessons for children should not be cut and instead should be increased. Do you agree?
It's ok for Sting to say, because he's brilliant at it! It should be taught at school but only as an option. There's so much to fit in on the curriculum.
It's been revealed that 800 Britons are now on the waiting list for assisted suicide in Switzerland.
Do you think the laws in this country on assisted suicide are correct?
The laws here need to be updated. If people want to do it, they're going to do it anyway, regardless of what the rules are. We need to keep up with it, rather than ignoring it.
