The new series of X Factor started at the weekend. What do you think about the auditions being held in front of a live audience?
I think it's good, it's honest and makes it more realistic. Appears to be more like reality TV.

Kerry Katona has recently apologised for taking cocaine - do you think celebrities in the public eye should be given a second chance?
I think celebrities should be given a second chance, but not a third and a fourth. However, I think in Kerry's case it's been one step too far - they let their friends, family and fans down.

Dan Antropolshi has won a prize for the funniest joke at this year’s Edinburgh's fringe festival (by saying "Hedgehogs- why cant they just share the hedge?) What would your winning joke be?

A resident in a small village in Italy has recently won £128.3 million. What would you spend it on?
I would buy a castle and train people on how to do witchcraft…

England beat Australia in the Ashes over the weekend. It has been reported that it will be unlikely that they will ride in an open top bus - how do you think they should celebrate?
They should celebrate a little bit, but not too much. They should concentrate on staying good at cricket, not get too drunk, like last time.

New reports say that Wednesday is actually the most miserable day of the week- not a Monday- do you agree with this?
No, I cry every Monday.
I think Sunday is the worst day of the week because of the Antiques Roadshow theme tune... it sends
shivers down my spine.
