A man has been arrested after three teenagers and a woman were sexually assaulted while travelling on buses.
A 32-year-old man was arrested in East Dulwich on Monday, January 30, on suspicion of a string of sexual offences.
He was taken into custody at a central London police station where he remains.
Officers had previously appealed regarding a number of incidents that they were treating as linked.
On Tuesday, January 24, at about 9.30pm, a 22-year-old woman was sexually assaulted on the route 12 bus in the Dulwich area.
On Friday, January 27, a 17-year-old girl said a man touched her inappropriately.
Later that day at around 5pm, a 13-year-old girl reported that she was sexually assaulted while travelling on a route 363 bus.
A second 13-year-old also subsequently reported a man trying to engage her in a conversation which made her feel uncomfortable on the route 197 bus near Dulwich Library, SE22.
Then at around 5.50pm, a 15-year-old girl on a route 171 bus got off near Bromley Road, SE6, and a man from the bus followed her and tried to engage her in conversation before groping her.
Inquiries by officers from the Metropolitan Police’s Road and Transport Policing Command continue.
Officers have had a good response to appeals but continue to appeal for witnesses, or anyone with any information about any of the incidents, to call police via 101 or tweet them via @MetCC.
