The six-year-old boy reportedly thrown from the viewing platform of the Tate Modern yesterday afternoon is in a stable condition.
In the latest update about the incident this morning, officers have said the child is ‘in a critical but stable’ condition.
A seventeen-year-old man who had remained with members of the public on the viewing platform was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder yesterday and taken into custody.
He remains in custody this morning. Police have said there is nothing to suggest that he is known to the victim.
The six-year-old boy injured at the Tate Modern is now in a critical but stable condition in hospital. A 17-year-old male remains in police custody. Enquiries are ongoing.

A police probe continues into the incident which occurred shortly before 3pm yesterday afternoon.
The emergency services rushed to the scene of the world-famous tourist attraction to reports of a boy being thrown from the tenth floor.
The child was found on a fifth-floor roof, and was rushed to hospital by the London Air Ambulance.
Members of the public have also been giving witness statements to the authorities said police.
The boy’s family are being supported by police, said the Met.
