A man who was arrested in Rotherhithe last weekend on suspicion of possessing a knife and tear gas, has been bailed to late October.
The man, 44, was arrested on Saturday morning following reports of a man having an “unknown substance thrown on his face”.
Officers were called at 11:36am to Lower Road, SE16 with the London Ambulance Service also in attendance.
A police spokesperson said he was arrested for “what is believed to be CS Spray”, a chemical which is often used by riot police to breakup large groups of people.
