A cyclist who died in a ‘collision’ with a car on Deptford’s Evelyn Street this Saturday was an 82-year-old man police confirm.
Officers were called at 10.15 on Saturday, September 29, near the junction with Bestwood Street, SE8 to reports of a collision between a car and a cyclist.
Tragically, the cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
Although he has not been formally identified, police say the cyclist was an 82-year-old man and his next of kin have been told of his death.
Police say the driver stopped at the scene and there have been no arrests as their enquiries continue.
