Two men have been arrested by officers investigating a double shooting in Peckham, police confirmed.
According to the London Met, a 24-year-old and a 33-year-old were arrested on Tuesday, June 12, on suspicion of attempted murder. They remain in custody at a south London police station.
The double shooting saw one 22-year-old man – named locally as boxer Oluwafemi Omosuyi – hospitalised after being shot in the face. He is still in hospital and is now in a ‘non-life threatening condition’.
The 25-year-old victim did not sustain serious injuries.
A formal statement issued by the Met this afternoon said: “At this stage of the investigation it is believed that the victims were sitting inside a vehicle at Wodehouse Avenue when they were attacked with shots being fired through the windows of the vehicle.
“Detectives from the Trident and Area Crime Command are investigating.”
