CUBA INVADES SOUTHBANK

An intoxicating cocktail of Rumba, Salsa, Rum and Reggaeton will explode onto the E4 Udderbelly Festival stage this summer.

Havana Rumba, written and directed by international award-winning director Toby Gough, will feature dazzling and eye-popping performances from the Kings of Cuban Dance, including the master of the Son Subano –Eric Turro Martinez.

Havana Rumba will take the audience on a musical journey, with pulsating beats by Sonora La Calle  - Cuba's legendary salsa band. Starting with the music of the fifties, the Mambo and the Cha Cha Cha, the night will continue to heat up as the band move on to the thrilling contemporary music of Cuba today.

Eric Turro Martinez – is one of Cuba's top talents. With a dance background of over 25 years, Eric is co-founder of Buena Vista TM and has performed as lead dancer for the Buena Vista Social Club.  His unique style of dance, the traditional Son Cubano, makes him one of Cuba's most admired and respected around the world.
