The eighteen-year-old, who police believe was stabbed to death in Walworth last weekend, has been formally named by police.
Amara Toure, from Manor Park, was pronounced dead at 7.23 am on Sunday, June 30, after admitting himself to hospital with severe injuries three hours earlier.
A post-mortem yesterday gave his cause of death as ‘incisive wounds to the abdomen and blood loss’.
It is believed he was injured in a fight at Sutherland Road, SE17, which police were alerted to but unable to find a victim on arrival.
Three men – aged eighteen, 22 and 22 – have now been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and released under investigation.
Officers have renewed their appeal for information, with Detective Chief Inspector John Massey saying: “A young man has lost his life far too soon and we’re doing all we can to find who is responsible.
“We are keeping an open mind as to the motive but at this early stage of the investigation it does not appear directly linked to an incident that took place near Coldharbour Lane on Saturday afternoon.
“We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident itself or any altercations leading up to it to come forward.
“Equally, would ask that anyone with any information about what happened, no matter how small that detail, to contact us as this could really assist the investigation.”
Anyone with information is asked to call the incident room on 020 8721 4868.
