I was out doing a bit of shopping this week. I was buying some flowers for my wife as a matter of fact. The flower seller was a chap my own age and as he wrapped the Sweet Williams much loved by my wife, he gave me a long hard look.

It was clear he knew me and it was not long before we were chatting about racing. He recalled the years when I was very much into dog racing and as we parted with a handshake he confided in me that he had been given a dog to back.
