I had a feeling when Frankel won the 2000 Guineas that it may have been a result which had a far reaching effect on racing.
The Frankel victory was a pillar to post victory. Sir Henry Cecil’s colt simply ran away with the race. It was proof that some hosses simply run better in front but it has become the norm for trainers to turn every hoss into a hold up hoss, producing it at the death to swoop to victory. Frankel re-wrote the racing handbook.
