WALSALL STRIKER Darren Byfield is relishing his second return to the Den of the season when his side visit south London on Saturday.
Byfield was roundly booed by Lions fans when he came on as a substitute for Oldham Athletic when the Latics visited the Den in mid-August, though his fifteen minute cameo proved to be his final appearance for the Boundary Park club before being released.
He subsequently returned to the Saddlers, where he scored 23 goals between 2002 and 2004, and has since hit seven in just 15 league starts at the club.
Byfield scored his hundredth career goal in last Saturday's 3-1 loss to Southampton, and the Birmingham-born forward is confident that his team can do well at the Den this weekend.
"We aren't going to fear Millwall and I can't wait to go there and get abused!" he said. "I was there at the start of the season with Oldham and got it then and it'll be the same again, they won't change their mind on that."
The forward left Millwall in 2007 after one season at the Den in which he scored 16 goals in 31 league appearances - the most goals since Steve Claridge's 18-goal haul in 2001/2002 and a record that a Lions player has not beaten since.
"I enjoyed my time at Millwall and I did well for them," he added. "They were upset by the way I left but they don't know the full story and that's something I don't like going into.
I got 16 goals in a season there and that's my best ever tally for a season. I enjoyed playing up front with Neil Harris who, to this day, is one of the best players I've played with. The way we played suited each-other and he's someone I still talk to now so I'm looking forward to going back there."
