Bognor Regis Town 0 Dulwich Hamlet 1
A dramatic injury time free kick from Ashley Carew sent Dulwich Hamlet into the Ryman Premier Division play off finals on Monday.
The game at Nyewood Lane appeared to be heading for extra time on Thursday evening, but Carew had different ideas when he bagged a late winner to send the travelling Hamlet support into delirium.
The win was doubly bitter for the home side as Dulwich stopper Preston Edwards pulled off a stunning second half penalty save to maintain parity, which allowed Carew to step up later and grab the glory.
Dulwich will now travel to Essex on Bank Holiday Monday to take on East Thurrock United, who beat Tonbridge Angels in the other semi-final that took place on the same evening.
Thurrock have home advantage in the one off game as they finished higher in the table than Hamlet in the regular season.
During the last campaign the sides played out a 2-2 draw in both of the fixtures they took part in and Monday’s game looks set to be a nail biter to see who will progress to step two on the non-league ladder.
The club has confirmed there will not be a supporters’ coach going to the Thurrock contest, but details of how to get to the game will appear at www.pitchero.com/clubs/dulwichhamlet.
