The eco-friendly socks from Asda are softer than cotton and more durable than silk and could prove an essential in every thinking woman’s drawers.

Asda hopes that bamboo fabric is set to become one of the biggest fashion trends over the next ten years.

Asda are considering releasing underwear, towels and sweaters in the material, so the tantalizing prospect of finally matching socks and underwear also seems imminent.
