The 12th Camberwell Scout Group have met in the North Peckham area for nearly 100 years and to celebrate the Centenary of the Scout Movement they are holding two events for all current and past members.
These are a Service of Remembrance on Sunday, November 11, at St Luke’s Church, Pentridge Street, Peckham, from 10am.
This is followed by a get together in the Church Hall for everyone to see old friends, chew the cud, and just remember how much they enjoyed being in the Group.
Unfortunately, with the redevelopment in the area in the early 1970s and again more recently, they have lost touch with people who used to be members.
Anyone who was part of the Group whilst it met at Gloucester School, and in other venues around Commercial Way, who would like to attend this event, should contact Vicki Andrews on 020 8290 5017.
Philip Andrews, by email.
