Much attention has been stirred nationally among Brexit watchers by the government’s bid to rewrite parts of the Withdrawal Agreement.
Northern Ireland secretary, Brandon Lewis, admitted in the House of Commons on Tuesday that the move would break international law – but only “in a very specific and limited way.”
Bermondsey’s Labour MP Neil Coyle remains unimpressed, and quips: “When I was 10 I only shoplifted in a limited, specific store but I still got a caution from the police and a lifetime ban from Woolworths.”
Let he who has not stolen pick ‘n’ mix cast the first stone.
