Halloween and Christmas has come early to an Elephant and Castle Poundland this week, as it is selling Christmas wrapping paper in July.
Trick and treat buckets and Halloween costumes are also on offer, despite it being months until the occasion rolls around.
It was spotted by Southwark councillor, Graham Neale. “Is this a record?” he asks.
It’s official!!!
The pound shop at #ElephantandCastle @SE1 has given up on 2020,
and is calling it a year,
with Christmas Decorations.

The store is closing permanently at the end of the month, so the branch is aiming to shift all of its stock beforehand – even if it means selling Christmas crackers five months too soon.
